THE RODS To Kick Off 30th-Anniversary Shows This Weekend

June 16, 2010

THE RODS — the classic '80s metal band led by Ronnie James Dio's (DIO, BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN & HELL) cousin, guitarist/vocalist David "Rock" Feinstein — is gearing up for a 30th anniversary celebration with a few special performances. These shows will be unique, one-of-a-kind shows, tailored especially for true RODS fans. One half of each special show will feature brand-new, original songs from THE RODS' forthcoming album, "Vengeance", as well as songs from Feinstein's new CD, "Bitten by the Beast". The other half of the show will consist of fan favorites, selected by RODS fans themselves! You heard that right... RODS fans will author the show's set list!

Here's the chance that all the "Wild Dogs" have been waiting for — the band is asking its true, rabid, hard-rockin' fans to submit their favorite songtitles for possible inclusion to the "Rods Rabid Fans Setlist." There are a lot of fans out there, but THE RODS will tabulate all submissions and attempt to play as many of the most requested songs as possible.

The request form is located here.

Saturday, June 19 at The Haunt in Ithaca, New York will mark the kick-off of the official 30th-aniversary shows. With new RODS and David "Rock" Feinstein music, the "Rods Rabid Fans Setlist", and a warm-up by special guests BLUE MONDAY (with special guest Billy Golicki) on tap, these shows have all the ingredients to produce events to remember.
